AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League: Preview
Another minor Dota 2 tournament – AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League – is going to start on November 2. Eight teams will battle for a share of $300,000 prize pool and 300 Pro Circuit Points.
While Team Liquid and Newbee received direct invites from the tournament organizers, the other 6 teams had to make it through the regional qualifiers in North America, South America, Europe, CIS, Southeast Asia and China.

Unlike many recent tournaments, including ESL One Hamburg Major, Dota PIT will feature a double-elimination format for the playoffs without the group stage at all. All eight participating teams will start from the upper bracket. All upper bracket matches and losers’ finals are best-of-three, the other matches of losers’ bracket are best-of-one, the grand finals is best-of-five.

AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League is organized by the One Game Agency and will be held on November 2-5 at Le Méridien Lav Hotel in Split, Croatia. The prize pool is set at $300,000. This is the eighth tournament in the Dota PIT series.
