Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament ROG Masters 2017 has ended with a confident win of Gambit Esports over TyLoo – in the Grand Finals the champions of the previous major defeated their Chinese opponents with a 3-0 score.
ROG Masters was held on December 7-10 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia. The tournament’s line-up consisted of six qualified teams, including Splyce, 5Power Club, Grayhound Gaming, TyLoo, Gambit and Vega Squadron. They were divided into two groups with round-robin format and best-of-two matches. The teams placed first advanced to the semifinals, the other teams made it to the quarterfinals.

The playoffs stage was played in a single-elimination mode with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five finals. On their way toward the Grand Finals, Gambit knocked out Vega (2-1), while TyLoo defeated Splyce (2-1) and Grayhound Gaming (2-1). In the Grand Finals Gambit looked far superior to TyLoo and outplayed them 3-0 (16:14 at Overpass; 16:4 at Inferno; 19:16 at Train). They received $117,500 in prize money and their first champions title since PGL Major Krakow 2017.
