ESL One Cologne 2020: Qualification Updates

ESL have updated the way the teams will be able to qualify for their $1,000,000 CS:GO event ESL One Cologne 2020. As most of the upcoming events will be held online and split into regional qualifiers, the participants of the Cologne event will also be determined through regional rankings, instead of the global ESL Pro Tour ranking.

The points required to qualify for ESL One Cologne 2020 will be awarded on ESL Pro League Season 11, ESL One: Road to Rio and DreamHack Masters Spring. The distribution of invites will look as follows:

• Final Stage: 6x Europe, 2x North America
• Play-In Stage: 3x Europe, 3x North America, 1x Asia, 1x Oceania

ESL One: Cologne 2020 is scheduled to be played on July 6th – 12th at Lanxess-Arena in Cologne, Germany. The organizers warned that the plans may change depending on the global health situation.
