MDL Macau: Group Schedule and Format
Mars Dota League revealed format and group schedule for their upcoming minor tournament MDL Macau, which kicks off in three days.
Not long ago it was announced that instead of having eight teams the tournament will suddenly feature nine – the organizers were forced by Valve to invite EHOME. To adapt to the increased number of participating teams, the organizers had to change the tournament’s format. Thus, in the group stage all teams will be placed in one group with a round robin format and best-of-one series. The time is limited, so the organizers had to squeeze 36 series in just two days. The teams placed top four will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket.

MDL Macau will be held on December 8-10 at Macau University Music Hall. The participating teams will compete for their share of a $300,000 prize pool.
