Rogue and compLexity Qualified for FACEIT Major: London

The American regional qualifier for FACEIT Major: London 2018 has completed. In the grand final compLexity Gaming defeated Rogue 2-0. Both teams qualified for the major.

Americas Minor Championship was held on July 9-11 at Twickenham Stadium in London. Overall there were eight participating teams, six of them qualified from the North America – compLexity Gaming, NRG Esports, Team Dignitas, eUnited, Rogue and Swole Patrol, while Não Tem Como and Furia eSports represented the South American region. They were placed into two GSL groups with two best teams advancing to the playoffs. NRG Esports and eUnited managed to qualify from Group A, while Rogue and compLexity Gaming secured first two places in Group B.

The playoffs stage was held in a double-elimination format. In the semifinals Rogue defeated eUnited, while compLexity outplayed NRG Esports. After losing 0-2 to Rogue in the winner’s final, compLexity managed to beat eUnited in the losers’ finals and turn the table in the grand finals by defeating Rogue 2-0. Both teams secured their place at the upcoming FACEIT Major: London 2018. They will play in the New Challenger stage.

FACEIT Major: London 2019 will take place on September 5-23 at SSE Arena, Wembley in London. 24 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
