Team Spirit Emerge Victorious at ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS
The CIS division of ESL One: Road to Rio has concluded with the victory of Team Spirit. In the final series of the event they outplayed Winstrike Team with the 2:0 score, claiming $15,000 in prize money and 1600 RMR-points.
Team Spirit placed first in their group with the 5-0 score, where they outplayed Gambit Youngsters (2:0), forZe (2:0), Unique (2:0), Nemiga (2:1) and Winstrike (2:0). Being the winner of the group, they advanced directly to the semifinals, where they defeated Virtus.pro (2:1). In the grand finals Team Spirit outplayed their opponents at Dust II (16:13) and Nuke (16:11).
ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS was held on April 30th – May 17th, 12 participating teams competed for a $50,000 prize pool and RMR-points, which will be used to determine participants of the only major event of the year, ESL One 2020 Rio.
