Ten Teams Invited to China Dota 2 Supermajor, Including OG and Na`Vi

The organizers of the last Dota 2 major tournament of the current season, which is humbly called China Dota 2 Supermajor, have revealed the list of teams that received direct invites and will travel to Shanghai to compete for a $1,500,000 prize pool and 2250 DPC Points.

In total the tournament will feature 16 participating teams, 10 of them received direct invites and were revealed recently, including: Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Newbee, Vici Gaming, VGJ.Thunder, Evil Geniuses, Natus Vincere, Mineski and OG. Some members of Dota 2 community were displeased with Natus Vincere and OG being invited, as the first team recently showed very shaky performance and the second one kicked Resolut1on after roster lock and became not eligible to be invited to The International 2018 or its qualifiers, as well as lost their DPC points. The organizers explained that the teams were invited before Dota 2 Asia Championship, and their decision was based on the DPC rankings at that time. The other six participants will be determined by the results of regional qualifiers, which will be held in the second half of April. The main event itself will take place on June 2-10 in Shanghai, China. Its format and location have not been revealed yet.
