The International 10 Prize Pool has Exceeded $30M

The prize pool of The International 10 has exceeded $30,000,000, which makes it the second biggest prize pool in the history of esports. While the record still belongs to TI9 with $34,330,000, it is safe to assume that this year the event will hit a new all-time record.

This year’s prize pool reached $30M in just 63 days of the Battle Pass sales – for comparison, last year it took 74 days to reach this number. The biggest boosts to the prize pool were the releases of the Battle Level Bundle and the Collector’s Cache, while the addition of Immortal Treasure II did not have a noticeable effect on the prize pool. Earlier Valve moved the Battle Pass expiration period to September 19th, which should be more than enough time to break a record once again.

The International 10 was initially planned to be held in Stockholm, Sweden on August 18th – 23rd. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event was postponed indefinitely – most likely, it will take place somewhere next year. Earlier we reported that The International 11 is presumably planned for 2022.
