TNC Predator Win MDL Chengdu Major
TNC Predator have defeated Vici Gaming in the grand finals of MDL Chengdu Major, becoming the champions of the first Dota 2 major of the season and receiving $300,000 in prize money and 4,850 DPC points. The runner-ups were awarded $160,000 and 3,000 qualification points.
TNC Predator started the competition in Group A, where they placed first after defeating Team Unknown (2-0) and EHOME (2-0). In the upper bracket they outplayed Alliance (2-1) and J.Storm (2-0), but lost to Vici Gaming (0-2) in the upper bracket finals, dropping to the lower bracket. There they outplayed Invictus Gaming (2-0) and secured their place in the grand finals. The final series concluded with the 3-1 score in favour of TNC.
MDL Chengdu Major was held on November 16-24th in Chengdu, China. The event featured 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points.
