WePlay! Clutch Island: ESPADA, Nemiga and Gambit Youngsters to Main Event

The closed qualifier for WePlay! Clutch Islands has concluded, with ESPADA, Nemiga Gaming and Gambit Youngsters securing their places in the main event.

The second stage of the qualifier featured four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. In the upper bracket ESPADA outplayed Gambit Youngsters (2-0), while Nemiga Gaming (2-1) defeated forZe (2-1). The lower bracket match ended with the 2-0 score in favour of Gambit.Y.

The group stage will feature eight teams competing in two GSL groups with best-of-three series. ESPADA, Nemiga Gaming, Team Spirit and Winstrike Team have been seeded into Group A, while Gambit Youngsters, Hard Legion Esports, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro will compete in Group B. Top two teams from each group will advance to the double-elimination playoffs bracket.

WePlay! Clutch Island is the second RMR-event for the CIS region that features a $50,000 prize pool. The event will conclude on June 28th, its winner will receive $15,000.
