Cr1t to Stand In for Ninjas in Pyjamas
Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced that their Dota 2 team will compete at OGA Dota PIT Season 2: Europe/CIS with a stand-in. The team will play with Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen, who will take place of the earlier released Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev.
Cr1t is a 24-years-old support player from Denmark, who for the last four years has been an in-game leader of Evil Geniuses – although in the last few months the team was forced to play with multiple stand-ins, the Dane managed to lead them to the first place at both ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online NA and BTS Pro Series: Americas.
Earlier this month SoNNeikO announced that he left the team without explaining the reasons. In the organization’s latest statement its COO Jonas Gundersen explained that the team decided to “take a different route with the traditional captain’s role” and that they “believe in a more flat structure”, hence the changes. Currently the team is testing potential members and expects to have a full roster before the start of the earlier announced OMEGA League, which will begin in August.
