DreamHack Masters Jönköping 2020 to be Held Online

DreamHack have announced that their next Masters event, which was supposed to take place this June in Jönköping, Sweden, instead will be held online and split into four regions. The tournament’s prize pool was increased from $250,000 to $300,000 and will be distributed among 32 teams from all regions.

The European region will see 16 teams competing for a $160,000 prize pool, while eight North American teams will battle it out for $100,000. Both Asia and Oceania will have four teams fighting for $40,000. DreamHack Masters Spring matches will be played between May 19th – June 14th.

The list of confirmed participants looks as follows:

  • Europe: Astralis, Complexity Gaming, ENCE, FaZe Clan, Fnatic, G2 Esports, MAD Lions, mousesposrts, North, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Vitality and BIG
  • North America: 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, FURIA Esports, Team Liquid, MIBR, Gen.G Esports
  • Asia: TyLoo, Vici Gaming
  • Oceania: ORDER, Renegades

The tournament remains part of ESL Pro Tour, granting points towards qualification to ESL One Cologne. Besides that, the event is included into Intel Grand Slam, the winner of which will get $1,000,000.
