ENCE and Dignitas Qualified to BLAST Spring European Showdown

ENCE and Dignitas have emerged victorious at an online qualifier event Elisa Invitational. These teams secured their places at a $162,500 tournament BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown.

Elisa Invitational was held on April 30th – May 3rd, featuring eight teams from Nordic countries competing for two tickets to the Spring Showdown. First, they competed in two GSL groups, and then the winners of groups advanced directly to the finals, while teams placed 2nd and 3rd made it to the semifinals. All series were best-of-three.

Both ENCE and Dignitas played in Group A. As the winners of the group, ENCE advanced directly to the finals, where they defeated Apeks (2-0). Meanwhile Dignitas outplayed North (2-0) in the semifinals and Heroic (2-1) in the finals.

BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown is scheduled for May 31st – June 7th and will feature 10 teams competing for a $162,000 prize pool. Among confirmed participants are Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Vitality and Astralis, who secured their places through the regular season. Another three participants will be invited by organizers, while the last two spots will be taken by the winners of BLAST Premier CIS Cup and RTP Arena Cup.

Earlier RFRSH Entertainment, the organizers of BLAST Premier series, transitioned all spring events to online.
