FURIA Esports Qualified to ESL Pro League Season 12

FURIA Esports have showed the best results in the North American qualifier for ESL Pro League Season 12, where three teams competed for one ticket to the event.

The line-up of the qualifier consisted of only three teams – FURIA Esports, Infinity Esports and Triumph, with all of them being invited by the organizers. The teams competed in a single round-robin group with best-of-three series.

In the qualifier’s first series Triumph outplayed Infinity (2-0), while the following two matches concluded in the favour of FURIA – first, they defeated Infinity with the 2-0, and then managed to beat Triumph with the 2-1 score. In the deciding series FURIA lost at Overpass (16:11), however emerged victorious at Inferno (16:10) and Mirage (16:6).

Today the qualifier begins also in Europe, where twelve teams will compete in a double-elimination playoffs bracket for two tickets to the event. Later this month the qualifier will also be played in South America, Oceania and Asia.

ESL Pro League Season 12 was announced earlier this week. The event is expected to start on September 2nd, featuring 24 teams competing for a $750,000 prize pool. Depending on the epidemiological situation, the event will be played either offline in a studio or online.
