OG: JerAx Retires, Ana Extends Break to the Start of Next Season
Earlier we reported that OG, the winners of the latest two The International events, are going to get back from their vacation to take part in the qualifiers for the third major of the season, ESL One Los Angeles 2020. However, it has turned out that they will perform with updated roster as Anathan "ana" Pham has extended his break until the start of the next season, while Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka retired.
27-years-old support JerAx joined OG in the second half of 2016 and has been playing for the team since then. While in the team, the player participated in three The International events and emerged victorious at the latest two of them. He won over $6,450,000 in prize money over the span of his career. In his statement the player explained that he is retiring due to being tired of the competitive scene and the pressure associated with it.
20-years-old carry player Ana joined OG in 2016 alongside JerAx. The player left the team after placing 7-8th at The International 2017, however a few months later re-joined the squad right before TI8, where the team emerged victorious. Afterwards the results of the team degraded and Ana decided to take an extended break, returning in March 2019 to place 5-6th at MDL Disneyland Paris Major, 7-8th at EPICENTER Major 2019 and eventually win his second TI in a row. As the rest of the team, the player has been on vacation since the start of the season.
Earlier OG formed their second Dota 2 roster called OG Seed. The roster included Omar Mohammad "Madara" Dabachach, Rasmus Johan "Chessie" Blomdin, Andreas Per "Xibbe" Ragnemalm, Zakari William Lee "Zfreek" Freedman and Petu "Peksu" Vaatainen. As of now, the team failed to qualify for a single LAN-event. It remains unknown whether someone from this squad can join the main roster.
