VP.Prodigy Beat Virtus.pro to Win Epic Prime League 1
The final series of the CIS Dota 2 tournament Epic Prime League Season 1 featured two rosters of Virtus.pro competing with each other. The organization’s second roster called VP.Prodigy managed to outplay its “older brother” with the 3:0 score, claiming $65,000 in prize money.
Both rosters of the organization finished the group stage with the 6-1 match score, thus advancing to the upper bracket. There in the first round VP.Prodigy defeated Team Spirit (2-0), while Virtus.pro outplayed FlyToMoon (2-1). In the winners’ finals the main roster prevailed, finishing the series 2-0. After dropping to the lower bracket, VP.Prodigy defeated FlyToMoon (2-0) and avenged their main roster in the finals (3-0).
Epic Prime League Season 1 was held on April 15th – May 17th. The tournament was organized by Epic Esports Events and supported by GG.Bet. The participating eight teams competed not only for a $150,000 prize pool, but also for 4 tickets to the event’s second season.
Earlier last week VP.Prodigy also reached the grand finals of WePlay! Pushka League Season 1 Division 1, where they were defeated by Team Secret (3-0).
